The night we got to know what standards we had...and how low we could go with them.

Yesterday we went to Ephesus after our 7 hour bus ride. Our hotel is something else. "Let's just say it could be called camping". Our phone does not work (no wake-up call), no electricity to re-charge things, no way to turn the air conditioning on different settings, no sheets, just raw blankets and also no water. Meaning, no way to wash out the dirty socks I've been wearing the last 5 days in a row, no way to shower or brush your teeth (whats new?) haha, or even flush the toilet. I think camping in gerringong and Alicias backyard was better conditions but we at least have a balcony, and the people at the hotel were nice enough to leave the key to the balcony door on the outside so that anyone who can get to the door can get it. NICE!
We also went to a Hamam for a Turkish bath.  First you have a cold shower (your supposed to be naked but we chose to wear cossies as we were with a group of 12people) then you lay on a big round stone which is heated so its like a sauna type thing. Then by our surprise a man who was in his 40's , Hairy as anything who was naked and only had a small cloth wrapped around his waist came in to exfoliate our skin with a glove then pour buckets of cold water over your head. The next man used a net with a soap bar in it to soap us down then poured 2 buckets of hot water over our heads. They even scrubbed your hair, in your eyes, nose and mouth . Was weird! then you shower in a cold shower and then dry off and have an oil massage where the mans constantly moans and groans and grunts and cracks your back and fingers and toes. Courtney was lucky enough to even have her man drip sweat all over her from his hairy man boobs! Was entertaining !!
